1. Information We Collect

ECHO collects minimal data to provide its features:

• Anonymous identifier: A randomly generated anonymous ID via Google Firebase Anonymous Authentication. This is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information.
• Leaderboard data: If you participate in the Weekly Tower or Endless Abyss, your chosen display name and score are stored in Google Firestore.
• Analytics data: We collect anonymous usage data including app interactions (e.g. floors cleared, features used), session information, device identifiers, and crash/diagnostic reports via Google Firebase Analytics. This data is used solely to improve app performance and understand how players engage with the game.
• Advertising data: ECHO displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google AdMob collects your device's advertising identifier and certain device information. This information may be shared with Google and its advertising partners. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your settings and region.
• Local game data: Game progress, settings, and cosmetic unlocks are stored locally on your device via SharedPreferences. This data never leaves your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display your score on the Weekly Tower and Endless Abyss leaderboards
• To save and restore your game progress
• To measure and improve app performance and stability
• To understand how players engage with game features
• To display advertisements through Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized or non-personalized ads and to measure ad performance
• We do not sell your personal data to any third party

3. Third-Party Services

ECHO uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Anonymous Auth, Firestore, Analytics) — Firebase Privacy Policy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — How Google uses data from apps that use its services
• Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) — Google Privacy Policy

You can reset your advertising identifier or opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads).

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

ECHO is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@moricade.com and we will delete it.

5. Data Retention

Anonymous leaderboard data is retained for the duration of each competition period. Analytics and advertising data are retained per Google's standard retention policies. Local device data is retained until you uninstall the app or clear app data. You may request deletion of your leaderboard entry by contacting hello@moricade.com.

6. Security

All data transmitted to Google Firebase and Google AdMob is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS. We collect no directly identifying personal information (such as your real name or email address), which minimizes the risk of personal data exposure.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
